Care homes, senior residences, rehabilitation

A quiet moment shared with your residents

Sonocrea gives your activities team sound relaxation sessions: gentle texts inspired by poets and the world’s wisdom traditions, read in a calm voice over ambient soundscapes. A session starts from a tablet, in the lounge or in a resident’s room, with no outside practitioner to bring in.

Everyday activities

  • ✕An outside practitioner to bring in, and budget for, every session
  • ✕Little to offer residents who stay away from group activities
  • ✕Late afternoons and weekends: a smaller team and few resources
  • ✕The same activities week after week

With Sonocrea

  • ✓Your team runs it: after three hours of training, a session starts in a few taps
  • ✓In groups or in rooms, through a speaker or on headphones, as each resident prefers
  • ✓At any time, including when the team is smaller
  • ✓A library renewed every month
« In every season there is an hour that asks for nothing. »Original Sonocrea text

Uses

Three ways to offer a session

In the lounge

A fifteen to twenty-minute group session, played softly through a speaker, after lunch or late afternoon. A calm slot in the activities programme.

In residents’ rooms

On headphones, for residents who stay in their room or prefer to listen alone. Something to offer those group activities don’t reach.

With families

A session listened to together during a visit: a shared moment when conversation becomes harder.

For your teams

A simple tool, for every role

Three hours of training

For activities and care staff: choosing a session, setting it up, offering it, watching the resident’s comfort and stopping if needed.

A break for staff

The licence covers the facility’s devices: your teams can also use it in the staff room, for a moment to breathe.

Framework and precautions

A written framework for a vulnerable audience

Your residents are more vulnerable than the general public. The licence comes with everything you need to offer Sonocrea with confidence and present it to residents’ and families’ representatives.

Consent

A consent template for the resident or their legal representative is provided. A session is offered, never imposed, and stops at the first sign of discomfort.

Listening precautions

For a resident with epilepsy or a psychiatric condition, a doctor’s advice is required before any listening. Precautions are supplied ready to display.

Data

GDPR data processing agreement (Article 28) adapted to the care sector. No health data needs to be entered in the app; usage reports are anonymised.

What Sonocrea is not

Sonocrea is not a medical device and is not part of the care plan. It does not replace any care, treatment or support. It is a relaxation activity offered by your teams, like a reading or a music session.

Pricing

A licence based on capacity

One licence per facility, valid on every device on site. Setup includes staff training.

Frequently asked questions

Is it a treatment?

No. Sonocrea is a relaxation and comfort activity. It is not a medical device, is not part of the care plan and does not replace any care.

Is a doctor’s advice needed?

For a resident with epilepsy or a psychiatric condition, yes: a doctor’s advice is required before any listening. For other residents, a session is offered like any other activity.

How is consent collected?

A template is provided, to be signed by the resident or their legal representative. At the time of the session it remains an offer, never imposed, and stops if the resident wishes.

Headphones or speaker?

Both work. In the lounge, the session plays softly through a speaker; the binaural frequency effect needs headphones and is kept for individual listening.

Who runs the sessions?

Any trained team member: activities coordinator, care assistant, nursing aide. A tablet is enough.

What do you mean by “cultural sound relaxation”?

Sessions whose texts are free interpretations of authors, poets and world traditions, written with the help of AI and read in a calm voice. No word-for-word quotations: original, gentle texts.

We run several facilities?

The Group plan covers several sites under one contract, setup included. It is built on quotation.

Are there listening precautions?

Yes. Do not listen during any activity that requires alertness. If you have epilepsy or a psychiatric condition, ask a doctor before using Sonocrea. These precautions are supplied ready to display.
